The Process

Our protocols are designed to maintain accurate microstructural integrity, cause the least amount morphological alteration and preserve antigenicity and nucleic acid reactivity. Unless requested, or a particular feature would otherwise be obscured, we do not decalcify mineralized tissues. All specimens submitted to Laudier Histology will be processed to one of our custom-formulated hydrophobic acrylic resins best suited for the histological assay requested. Submitted samples must be well fixed and require a detailed description of anatomical sectioning plane desired.
